Courtois: 'Geen emotionele band met Chelsea
Courtois verdedigt vanavond (zaterdag) het doel tijdens de Champions League-finale. Met Atlético Madrid treedt hij aan tegen Real Madrid. De Belg is echter nog altijd eigendom van Chelsea. Zijn toekomst is nog ongewis.
Courtois lijkt niet terug te willen keren naar Londen. "Ik weet nog niet voor welke club ik volgend seizoen speel", laat de doelman weten aan BILD. "Ik ben dan wel eigendom van Chelsea, maar voor de fans en mijn ploeggenoten bij Atlético Madrid ben ik absoluut geen uitgeleende speler meer."
Hij voelt zich niet verbonden met de Londenaren. "Ik ben vergroeid met de club, terwijl ik met Chelsea geen emotionele band heb. Ze hebben me dan wel voor negen miljoen weggeplukt bij RC Genk, maar sindsdien ben ik enkel nog maar in Londen geweest voor medische keuringen."
"Vorige zomer wilde Chelsea me niet meer uitlenen, maar ik wilde me graag nog een jaar verder ontwikkelen bij Atlético", aldus Courtois.

David Luiz voor recordbedrag van Chelsea naar PSG
David Luiz verhuist van Chelsea naar Paris Saint-Germain. De clubs hebben overeenstemming bereikt over een transfersom voor de 27-jarige verdediger, zo maakten ze vrijdagavond via de officiële kanalen bekend. De Braziliaan moet persoonlijk wel nog tot een akkoord komen met de Franse kampioen.
Volgens Franse en Engelse media ontvangt Chelsea bijna 50 miljoen euro voor David Luiz. De Braziliaanse international wordt daarmee de duurste verdediger ter wereld. Op dit moment is dat zijn landgenoot Thiago Silva, voor wie PSG in 2012 bijna 45 miljoen euro betaalde aan AC Milan.
David Luiz verhuisde in januari 2011 voor een slordige 25 miljoen euro van Benfica naar Chelsea. Met de Engelse topclub won de verdediger, bekend om zijn lange krullen, in 2012 de Champions League en een jaar later de Europa League. Bij de nationale ploeg van Brazilië vormt David Luiz het centrale verdedigingsduo met Thiago Silva, zijn toekomstige ploeggenoot in Parijs. De Franse topclub heeft zich de afgelopen jaren met het geld van de steenrijke Arabische eigenaren spectaculair versterkt. Zo trok 'PSG' tientallen miljoenen uit voor onder anderen Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Thiago Silva en Gregory van der Wiel.
De UEFA gaf de club uit Parijs onlangs een boete van liefst 60 miljoen euro vanwege grove overtreding van de nieuwe financiële regelgeving in het Europese topvoetbal (Financial Fair Play). Het weerhield Paris Saint-Germain er niet van om nog eens diep in de portemonnee te tasten voor David Luiz.

Duurste verdediger ooit verlaat Chelsea: "Ik vertrek met groot verdriet"
David Luiz heeft zijn transfer naar Paris Saint-Germain zo goed als afgerond. De Braziliaanse WK-ganger neemt op Facebook afscheid van Chelsea, waar hij 3,5 jaar onder contract stond.
Luiz wordt met een transfersom van zo'n vijftig miljoen euro de duurste verdediger ooit. Via de sociale media bedankt hij iedereen bij Chelsea voor de geweldige tijd die hij in Londen heeft gehad. "Ik heb goede vrienden gemaakt en vele prijzen gewonnen. Die herinneringen draag ik voor eeuwig met me mee", schrijft hij.
"Ik verlaat Chelsea met groot verdriet, maar tegelijkertijd ben ik enthousiast over de nieuwe uitdaging die voor me ligt. Ik ga aan de slag bij een grote club in een stad die me altijd betovert", aldus Luiz, die alleen nog de medische keuring moet ondergaan. Paris Saint-Germain bevestigde op de clubsite al dat er een akkoord ligt met zowel Chelsea als de verdediger zelf.

Chelsea laat Lampard, Cole, Etoo en Schwarzer vertrekken
Het seizoen 2013/14 in de Premier League is officieel ten einde en diverse clubs moeten deze weken knopen doorhakken aangaande hun selecties: wie mag er blijven en wie moet er vertrekken? Bij Chelsea lijkt een uittocht van routiniers aanstaande. De nummer drie van het voorbije voetbaljaar laat Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Samuel Etoo en Mark Schwarzer alle vier gaan. Dat stelt de Premier League via de officiële kanalen.
De competitie maakt vrijdagavond een lijst wereldkundig met daarop de namen van die spelers die blijven en hen die weggaan. Bij Chelsea valt op dat Lampard, Cole, Etoo en alle drie een vrije uitgeleide krijgen van de Londenaren. In het geval van Cole werd er al druk gespeculeerd over een vertrek en de kans dat Etoo en Schwarzer zouden gaan leek ook vrij groot.
In het geval van Lampard is het echter wel bijzonder dat hij, naar het zich laat aanzien dan, een transfervrije status krijgt. De 35-jarige middenvelder sloot recent zijn dertiende seizoen op Stamford Bridge af en was daarin nog goed voor 26 wedstrijden en 6 doelpunten. Chelsea heeft de voorbije maanden niet laten weten dat Lamps geen nieuw contract meer aangeboden zou krijgen. Mogelijk wordt er op dit moment nog gewoon met hem onderhandeld.

Chelsea is niet van plan om het geld dat de transfer van David Luiz naar Paris Saint-Germain oplevert in kas te houden. Volgens het doorgaans betrouwbare dagblad The Telegraph aast de Engelse topclub op Paul Pogba.
Het vertrek van Luiz levert Chelsea een bedrag van vijftig a zestig miljoen euro op. De transfer van de Braziliaanse international is alleen nog afhankelijk van de medische keuring en een persoonlijk akkoord. De verwachting is dat er op korte termijn naar buiten wordt gebracht dat de overgang helemaal rond is en dat zal het moment zijn dat Chelsea zich gaat melden bij Juventus.
De 21-jarige Pogba staat namelijk bovenaan het verlanglijstje van trainer José Mourinho. De Franse international geldt als één van de beste spelers van Europa en moet zeker zeventig miljoen euro kosten. Wanneer Pogba onverhoopt onhaalbaar blijkt, komen Paulinho (Tottenham Hotspur) en Koke (Atlético Madrid) in beeld bij Chelsea.

'AC Milan heeft geld nodig, PSG en Chelsea azen op 'ongewenste' Balotelli'
AC Milan kampt met financiële problemen en het is niet uitgesloten dat de club komende zomer een voornaam selectielid moet verkopen om de eindjes aan elkaar te kunnen knopen. In de Corriere della Sera wordt al gewezen naar Mario Balotelli, de speler die de meeste transferwaarde vertegenwoordigt.
Alhoewel Mino Raiola, de zaakwaarnemer van Super Mario, onlangs nog verkondigde dat hij de garantie heeft gekregen dat zijn cliënt kan blijven, staan de zaken er volgens de Italiaanse media anders voor. I Rossoneri willen Clarence Seedorf vervangen door een ervarener coach, die de opbrengst van een transfer van Balotelli mag investeren in nieuwe, talentvolle spelers.
Het is geen geheim dat de relatie tussen de spits en de club nooit optimaal is geweest. Clubeigenaar Silvio Berlusconi betitelde de international zelfs als 'rotte appel', hetgeen de speler zelf al aan het denken zou hebben gezet. Chelsea en Paris Saint-Germain houden de situatie dan ook scherp in de gaten. Raiola zou zelfs al tijdens het WK in Brazilië bezig gaan om elders emplooi te vinden voor zijn cliënt.

'Juventus wil Chelsea-aanvaller overnemen'
Juventus wil Chelsea-aanvaller Samuel Eto'o deze zomer overnemen. De international uit Kameroen kreeg eerder te horen dat hij deze transferperiode mag vertrekken uit Londen.
De Oude Dame heeft met Fernando Llorente, Carlos Tévez en Sebastián Giovinco al drie spitsen onder contract staan, maar wil er toch nog een ervaren aanvaller bij hebben. Eto'o speelde dit seizoen 21 competitiewedstrijden mee en wist daarin negen keer te scoren.
De keuze voor Eto'o is verrassend, want eerder leek Juventus zich nog te richten op Didier Drogba. La Gazzetta dello Sport meldt zaterdag dat de aanvaller uit Ivoorkust tweede keuze is geworden.

Vitesse raakt basisspeler kwijt: Van Aanholt keert terug naar Chelsea
Vitesse lijkt voor volgend seizoen op zoek te moeten naar een nieuwe linksback. De Arnhemmers huurden in de afgelopen tweeënhalf jaar Patrick van Aanholt van Chelsea, maar hij keert normaal gesproken niet meer terug bij Vitesse. De vleugelverdediger, die hoopt op deelname aan het WK in Brazilië, sluit in de voorbereiding op het nieuwe voetbaljaar aan bij Chelsea.
The Blues verlengen het aflopende contract van Ashley Cole niet en worden in de wandelgangen in verband gebracht met diverse vleugelverdedigers. Van Aanholt krijgt echter de kans om zich te laten zien bij Chelsea. "Daar begin ik en dan zien we wel wat er gaat gebeuren", zei de linksback tegen het ANP.
De nu 23-jarige Van Aanholt maakte in 2007 de overstap van de jeugd van PSV naar Chelsea en werd al verhuurd aan Coventry City, Newcastle United, Leicester City, Wigan Athletic en dus Vitesse. Voor de Arnhemmers kwam de vleugelverdediger tot 67 competitiewedstrijden, waarvan 27 in het afgelopen seizoen.

Samuel Etoo mag Chelsea aan het einde van het seizoen verlaten. De Kameroener wil echter in de Premier League blijven en aast op een transfer naar Arsenal of Tottenham Hotspur. Dat meent The Sun te weten.
De 33-jarige Etoo maakte vorige zomer de overstap van Anzhi naar Chelsea. De aalvlugge spits kon onder leiding van manager José Mourinho echter niet doorbreken en moest vaak plaatsnemen op de bank. Etoo lukte wel enkele belangrijke doelpunten, maar krijgt geen nieuw contract bij de Blues.
Etoo blijft echter niet bij de pakken zitten en diende al een officieel transferverzoek in. De voormalige aanvaller Real Madrid en FC Barcelona zou ook volgend jaar willen uitkomen in de Premier League en zou daarom azen op een transfer naar Tottenham of Arsenal. Of de Londense clubs geïnteresseerd zijn in Etoo, zal nog moeten blijken.

Speelt Thibaut Courtois volgend seizoen voor Chelsea FC of niet? De Engelse pers weet het zelf niet meer. The Mirror claimt van wel, terwijl The Daily Mail denkt van niet.
Als we The Mirror mogen geloven, dan is Courtois volgend seizoen nummer één bij Chelsea. Petr Cech zou volgens het Engelse tabloid samen met Eden Hazard David Luiz volgen naar PSG. De Franse topclub had eerder Hugo Lloris op het oog, maar die zou zijn contract bij Tottenham alsnog verlengen.
The Daily Mail claimt dan weer dat Cech ook volgend seizoen nog de eerste keus bij Chelsea zal zijn. Courtois zou weer een seizoen uitgeleend worden, mogelijk terug aan Atletico Madrid, en zou dan vanaf het seizoen 2015/2016 eerste doelman bij Chelsea worden. The Daily Mail zegt deze informatie te hebben van ingewijden binnen Chelsea, die ook wisten te vertellen dat Courtois een lucratieve contractverlenging mag ondertekenen.

Chelsea fans will be pleased, club tell PSG where to go over Hazard
After securing the signing of the David Luiz for £40m, rumours would have you believe that Paris Saint-Germain are not done recruiting from Mourinho's club.
Looking to strengthen their team considerably ahead of next year's Champions League, PSG see their left wing as one of the weakest and seemingly only have one target in mind this summer: Eden Hazard.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know that PSG's interest in Hazard isn't anything new. Hazard himself has commented on it many times, and with the amount of money PSG seem prepared to throw around this summer, it seems anything can happen.
However, when the owner of the selling club is also an incredibly rich one, things start getting complicated. Today, L'Equipe reveal that Chelsea may not be willing to sell that easily. According to a source close to the club things don't necessarily work like that between clubs. What will be Hazard's situation in a year? What will be our needs? We cannot take everyone, and Chelsea really want to keep Hazard.
Even though this isn't the most breaking news in the world, if said source is correct, it appears that PSG could not go for Hazard after all, choosing instead to go for a player from another club after overstaying their welcome with Chelsea's negotiating team.
That Chelsea have been so strong, and informed PSG what will and won't happen, will give the club's fans some confidence in their transfer market power.

Chelsea in the hunt for Argentinian striker
CHELSEA have reportedly made a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi.
With Samuel Eto'o set to leave the Blues this summer, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in the market for at least one new striker.
They are widely expected to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid this summer, but the Daily Mail is reporting that Chelsea have made an enquiry about Lavezzi, with the 29-year-old Argentinian forward said to be keen on a move.

Queens Park Rangers to sign Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard?
Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is reportedly interested in signing free agents Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard following the club's promotion to the Premier League.
Ferdinand, 35, will leave Manchester United this summer after the club decided to not offer him a new contract.
Lampard, who turns 36 next month, looks set to leave Chelsea after he was named on their list of released players which has been submitted to the Premier League.
QPR sealed their promotion to the top flight on Saturday as they beat Derby County 1-0 at Wembley in the Championship playoff final.
According to The Metro, Redknapp wants to add experienced players to his squad for his side's return to the Premier League and has identified Ferdinand and Lampard as targets.
The QPR boss gave the duo their professional debuts during his time as West Ham United manager.

Besiktas interested in Chelsea striker Ba
Turkish club Besiktas are keen on signing out-of-favour Chelsea striker Demba Ba after cooling their interest in fellow Blues front-man Samuel Etoo, according to the Daily Mail.
Ba found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season, with both Etoo and Fernando Torres both ahead of him in the pecking order. Although he did score some crucial goals, the former West Ham United and Newcastle United player is likely to find chances even more limited next season, with the club expecting to sign Diego Costa.
Despite being on the fringes, the newspaper claims the Chelsea are hoping to keep Ba at Stamford Bridge for next season, but the Senegal man is looking for regular football, something he is unlikely to get if he stays.

Spurs keeping tabs on Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand
Ryan Bertrand is a left-back option Spurs are considering as he can't get any game time at Chelsea.
Last season he was loaned out to Aston Villa in January and was considered a good prospect for a few years now but still seems miles away from the Chelsea first team, despite playing in and winning the Champions League Final for them. With deep pockets Chelsea simply go out and buy established players leaving the youngsters with little chance to break through.
Zeki Fryers is considered to be more of a centre-back option for Tottenham and he would challenge Danny Rose for a starting berth immediately. With the heavy demands of the Europa League there are plenty of fixtures to rotate the two so being home grown with Premier League experience and only 24 year-old he could be a attractive option.
His wages are around £40,000 a week spoke recently that he wants to play and will be discussing his future this summer.
Ill go back to Chelsea in the summer and if they want me to play then that would be great. Should it be other options, I suppose the ball is in their court.
Its something well sit down and talk about in the summer. At this stage in my career I need to be playing. I don't want to be sat on the bench next season, so that is something we will discuss in the summer.
For me personally I feel Im more than ready. I deserve the chance to play there consistently, having had the experiences that I have done under numerous managers.
Ive learnt from some of the best players at the highest level. The likes of Didier, JT, Lamps, Ash directly in my position. I feel its my time. I'm 24, I'm looking forward to getting settled for the first time.
Ive had a taste of what its like to be at the top, to win things. Ive won the Champions League already. Ive played for England a couple of times, in a crucial qualifying game (against Ukraine) as well.
Playing for your country is the pinnacle. To have that side of success and know what it takes, thats where I want to be, what I want to get more of.
The Champions League final is something I don't want people to forget, I've played at the highest level, had success at the highest level.
But, personally, I don't want to rest on my laurels, I've got the taste for it and it's something I want to actively pursue it. I want to get the taste for it again.
He would cost the same as Rose would now, in the region of £5-8 million having made 17 Premier League appearances and 2 League Cup games, 1,629 minutes in total.

Chelsea striker desperate to make World Cup impression
Chelsea forward Fernando Torres is desperate to make the cut in Vicente del Bosque final Spain squad for the World Cup.
The Blues striker has had another disappointing season at Stamford Bridge but has been given one last chance to prove that he still has it in him to lead the line for his country this summer with the final 23 man squad set to be named next week.
Atletico Madrid main man Diego Costa has suffered another injury setback with his hamstring and so Torres has Fridays friendly with Bolivia to impress.
The 30-year-old has a fine record in major tournaments for Spain and an improved display on Friday could be enough to get him to Brazil.
I know it is a great thing to be here but, in football nothing is for sure and anything could happen, Torres said.
I always relish the competition with anyone, he continued.
I have always had a lot of competition here since Euro 2008. [Fernando] Morientes, Raul, [David] Villa, [Roberto] Soldado, [Alvaro] Negredo, and now [Diego] Costa.
The level is very high, but we are not rivals, we are team-mates and when we play we try to help everyone.

Mogelijk is een oude bekende echter de eerste die de overstap maakt van Atlético Madrid naar Chelsea: volgens Marca gaan de Engelsen zich versterken met de bijna transfervrije Tiago Mendes.
De 33-jarige Tiago speelt al vijf seizoenen bij Atlético en accepteerde vorig jaar nog een salarisverlaging, zodat hij bij de Spaanse topclub mocht blijven. De middenvelder zit nu echter in de herfst van zijn loopbaan én tegen het einde van zijn contract aan en wil nog een keer een financiële klapper maken. José Mourinho zou zijn landgenoot hebben gevraagd om in de aankomende transferperiode terug te keren naar Chelsea.
Mourinho haalde Tiago al eens eerder naar Stamford Bridge: dat was in 2004 en de 58-voudig Portugees international bleef slechts een seizoen, voordat hij naar Olympique Lyon vertrok. Via Juventus kwam Tiago uiteindelijk bij Atlético terecht, maar mogelijk keert hij nu terug naar Chelsea. In Londen zou hij de opvolger kunnen worden van de verkochte David Luiz, die naar Paris Saint-Germain gaat. Hij is eigenlijk een verdediger, maar speelde onder Mourinho vooral als middenvelder.

Chelsea ready to make an offer to sign Filipe Luis
Chelsea are ready to make an offer close to the player's buy-out clause of €24m in order to sign Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis.
This comes courtesy of a report from Spanish publication Marca, who also claim that the player is looking to leave the Vicente Calderon and that the Blues are content to almost double his current salary up to a very comfortable €5 million.
The former of these claims seems to be at total odds with Luis' own quotes on his future, with the Brazilian admitting only this weekend that his current thought was to continue representing Atletico.
Luis has enjoyed a fine 2013/14 campaign for Atletico, with Diego Simeone's side having defied pre-season expectations to triumph over Barcelona to win La Liga and also having advanced to the final of the Champions League.
The 28-year-old - who joined Atletico from Spanish rivals Deportivo back in 2010 - made 32 domestic appearances for Los Rojiblancos during a stellar campaign and provided a solid and dependable option on the left-hand side.
Chelsea look set to have an opening at left-back this summer, with long-serving former England stalwart Ashley Cole having been released by the club after his Stamford Bridge contract expired.
While Cole was first-choice for most of his eight-year stay at Chelsea, last season he notably fell down the pecking order under the returning Jose Mourinho and was often left on the substitute's bench during the latter half of the campaign.
Luis would be an affordable option for Chelsea, although he would likely face a rather tough battle for a starting berth given the impressive and highly trustworthy form displayed by Cesar Azpilicueta.
Although the Spaniard is a natural right-back, the trio of Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry and Gary Cahill are well-established under Mourinho and it seems unlikely that Azpilicueta will be able to force his way into the side in his favourite position.

Chelsea keeping tabs on Napoli forward
Chelsea are keeping tabs on Napoli forward Jose Callejon ahead of a possible summer bid.
Jose Mourinho is expected to revitalise his attack with a big-money move for Atletico Madrid hitman Diego Costa later this summer and he is also keen on a reunion with Callejon, who he signed for Real Madrid in 2011.
The 27-year-old featured prominently under the Special One as Real landed the La Liga crown in 2012 before moving on to Napoli last summer.
He had a successful first season at the Italian club, scoring 15 goals in 37 league outings, as well as helping Rafa Benitez's side claim the Coppa Italia.
Napoli forked out around £8m when they signed him on a four-year deal last July, and it is believed they will seek a significantly higher fee if they are to part ways with him this year.

Chelsea join race to sign Toni Kroos
Jose Mourinho's side are reportedly looking to secure the signing of Manchester United target Toni Kroos next summer, when he becomes a free agent.
Toni Kroos future has been at the centre of the medias attention for much of the summer so far, but today it has taken another dramatic twist.
The Bayern Munich midfielder had been linked with a move to Manchester United, although their interest appears to have cooled after they appointed of Louis van Gaal, but it appears Chelsea have also joined the hunt to sign the play-maker.
Jose Mourinhos men are keen on bringing Kroos to the club, but only if he becomes a free-agent, according to the Daily Mail.
Kroos contract at Bayern is up next season and with his future so up in the air at the moment it is still unknown as to whether he will extend his time with the Bundesliga champions or look for a move towards pastures new.
Chelsea have been linked with a whole host of players already this spring, after their last campaign ended in disappointment.
Mourinhos men finished in third position in the Premier League and exited the Champions League at the semi-final stage and it is already evident that the charismatic manager is keen to add to his squad.
If Kroos is to sign a pre-contract agreement, he will certainly be hoping that these new additions have the desired effect and elevate Chelsea to Premier League champions.

Chelsea look likely to loan out Mario Paalić to Lazio next season, PSV also sniffing about
Lazio fan site La Lazio Siamo Moi, We are Lazio, have reported on Wednesday that Chelseas Mario Paalić is set to join their club next season.
Back in January Chelsea spent a reported €3 million to buy the then 18-year-old Paalić from Hajduk Split.
Now 19, Paalić is focusing on his future after the Croatian season came to a close, and with no real chance of playing for the Blues next term, the teenager is considering loan options.
Paalić, who made the 30-man Croatian World Cup squad, is now trying his best to reach Brazil 2014, while is agent is talking to the likes of PSV and Lazio.
Lazio are said to be in pole position for the midfield starlet.

Defender to leave Blues
Chelsea are reportedly set to sell defender Ryan Bertrand this summer.
The 24-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, is not in Jose Mourinhos plans for the new campaign.
The Portuguese boss is lining up a move for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno and monitoring Southampton star Luke Shaw as replacements for Bertrand and Ashley Cole, who will leave Stamford Bridge after eight successful years.
Villa are thought to be keen to make Bertrands move permanent, but with the club currently up for sale any transfer dealings seem unlikely.
Southampton, who will need to replace Shaw, and Liverpool, who are looking to strengthen defensively, have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the 2012 Champions League winner.
